The Italian guitarist Edoardo Righini came to the Netherlands in 1994 to study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, after having toured and recorded with various pop and jazz bands in his country of birth.
In 2001, the year that he graduated, he received a scholarship for the SUNY Purchase University of New York, where he studied with John Abercrombie, Wayne Krantz, and others.
Righini is a teacher and the author of the highly-praised book Guitar Lessons. He recently released the album Evidence, which also includes performances by Mike Mainieri, Bob Malach, Hans Eikenaar, Jeroen Vierdag, and Tineke Postma.
