Once you have obtained your Bachelor of Music, you may wish to continue your studies and become a ‘Master of Music’. Our Master's degree programme takes two years to complete. The academic programme can be tailored to your individual needs.
To be eligible for admission to the Master's programme, you must hold a music diploma from a recognized institution in the Netherlands (Bachelor of Music), or have attained a comparable level by other means, tailored to the academic programme offered by Maastricht Academy of Music.


Career prospects
Maastricht Academy of Music trains its students to pursue careers in a variety of areas - as soloists, members of orchestral ensembles, composers, big band or choral musicians, accompanists, lecturers etc. Our graduates typically represent a broad range of music genres, from traditional music to modern pop, usually comprising a mixture of professional practice. They are active as performers, lecturers, composers, as musical directors, representatives of recording companies and recording studios, or as concert agents.


Alliance
The Master of Music programme is offered by Maastricht Academy of Music and Fontys Conservatorium, Tilburg. These institutions are part of the Fontys and Zuyd University Alliance for Arts Education [Dutch: Alliantie voor de Kunsten Fontys en Zuyd], a joint arts venture between Zuyd University and Fontys University of Professional Education.
