The Classical Music department offers high-quality Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programme for all orchestral instruments, solo vocals and opera. It is committed to training gifted and talented young students to achieve success as practicing professionals. All the lecturers at Maastricht Academy of Music are professional musicians. Tuition is offered in all main degree subjects, including string and wind instruments, percussion, piano, organ, guitar, harp, solo vocals, opera, choir conducting, harmony and fanfare, and orchestral ensemble conducting. Students additionally have the opportunity to specialize in composition and music theory.
Our lecturers are committed to firing the imagination and creativity of prospective musicians through a mixture of music classes, projects, master classes, workshops and theme days. This provides our students with countless opportunities to become versatile, creative and all-round musicians, capable of developing their own musical ideas and styles.
