Study areas are important places for music students to study in peace and quiet. The Main Building and the Annex Building normal work places, equipped with PCs and pre-installed (music) software. Maastricht Academy of Music uses Blackboard as its standard electronic learning environment. The Main Building has a library, where online titles can be reserved.

Both buildings have generous opening hours, enabling students to rehearse in the evenings and/or on Saturdays.

Both locations have faculty studios equipped with Steinway grand pianos and several sound-proof practice rooms. The rehearsal space has been built according to the "room in a room" concept, enabling students to practice without disturbing anyone.

The Annex Building is equipped with state-of-the-art guitar, bass and keyboard amplifiers, PA system and hi-fi recording facilities.

Organ classes are held at the Maastricht Onze Lieve Vrouwe Basiliek or the Sint Servaas Basiliek on the Vrijthof.
