The Music in Education degree programme offered by Maastricht Academy of Music is tailored specifically for students wishing to pursue a career in music education and/or pedagogics. These professional fields encompass a broad array of activities. Graduates of the programme are expected to awaken musical enthusiasm and to inspire children, adolescents and adults alike to participate in music and culture. You will fire their imagination and train them to attain a suitable level of proficiency on a musical instrument.

The Music in Education department currently has approximately 50 students. Students are immersed in a culture of intense collaboration with each other and with their lecturers. All students are selected on the basis of their suitability. The Music in Education and Jazz/Pop Departments are located in the Annex Building (Dépendance) of Maastricht Academy of Music, situated on the banks of the river Meuse in the cosy quarter of Wyck.
